On November 18, 2023, renowned Hong Kong playwright Raymond To gathered for an exchange with faculty and students at Shelton College International in Singapore. Generously, Raymond To donated his works to the college. This precious literary contribution not only added valuable cultural assets to the institution but also provided a rare opportunity for faculty and students to engage in close communication with a well-known creator, inspiring the beauty of the intersection between academia and the arts.



He has been involved in creative work for over two decades, having written nearly a hundred stage and film scripts. His notable works include "I have a date with spring," "The Umbrella Story," "HU Du Men ," "Mad Phoenix," "Strange Tales of Liaozhai," "Life's Only Wish: To Have Many Friends," and "Forever and Ever."

His awards include the Golden Horse Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards for Playwright of the Year (1989), the Hong Kong Drama Critics' Awards for Outstanding Achievement (1995), the Louis Cartier Outstanding Achievement Award (1997), the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the Hong Kong SAR Government (1999), and an Honorary Fellowship from the University of Hong Kong in 2005. He has also thrice received the Hong Kong Drama Awards for Best Playwright (1993, 1994, 2009).
