The course DIPLOMAIN ART OF HOSTING AND PERFORMANCE (DRAMA, FILM AND TV) –CHINESE provides students with structured learning in Hostingand Performance (Drama, Film and TV) theories and practices. Students willdevelop professional skills necessary for a career in performing arts andrelated areas.
This course aimsto:
1. Cultivate students’ comprehensivecreative qualities grounded in a balanced interplay between theory and practicewithin the art of Hosting and Performance (Drama, Film and TV) and thereby,improving the students’ own personality and artistic nature.
2. Expose students to the roles andenvironment of performing artists and will develop their understanding andexperience of performance-based endeavors.
3. Train students to have high aestheticskills and literary and artistic accomplishments
4. Develop students’ effectivecommunication and presentation skills in both written and oral forms.

SYNOPSIS OF AIMS | |
Learners will study the historical context and develop an understanding of theatre as a discipline. Having the exposure to excellent theatrical works summarizing the course of human spiritual exploration of the ideals of truth, goodness and beauty, plays a role in ideological education and moral cultivation for students. Learners will be exposed to a range of performance methodologies through a series of playtexts which will be the basis in creating imaginative performance with appropriate acting skills. They will work on enhancing vocal and movement competences as well as developing their confidence in stage performance. Categories of skills enhancement focus will be on voice, body, and drama. |

SYNOPSIS OF AIMS | |
This module aims to educate students on how to bring out their best performance as an actor in communicating an emotion and idea to the audience in front of the camera. Students will be taught concepts in film and TV history, production knowledge, technology. They will learn the foundation of acting methods and techniques with a focus on acting for film and TV and will work on enhancing vocal and movement skills as well as developing their confidence in front of a camera. Categories of skills enhancement focus will be on voice, body, and drama. |

SYNOPSIS OF AIMS | |
The module will comprise both hosting theories and hosting technology while at the same time focus on development of voice, body and dancing skills. It aims to systematically develop students' knowledge of several genres of the hosting industry, broadcasting language and hosting skills in reading for the camera and speaking style, microphone and interviewing techniques, presenting live events, and building rapport with the audience. Professionalism will be cultivated through showcasing the learner’s hosting charisma and personality, developing confidence, creativity and conversational skills. |

SYNOPSIS OF AIMS | |
The module aims to inculcate in the learners the importance of theatre training in new media performances. It will provide an innovative exercise in a digital landscape for the contemporary performing artist. They will work on enhancing vocal and movement competences as well as developing their confidence in new media performance platforms. Categories of skills enhancement focus will be on voice, body, and dancing. It will empower the student to explore new media acting by managing and utilizing the many facets of social and digital media. |
