“The Singapore-Cambridge GCE A’ Levels curriculum emphasises not only learning but also focuses on ensuring flexibility. The curriculum is designed to facilitate multi-disciplinary learning, breadth of academic scope as well as flexibility. It aims to prepare students well for the approaches being taken in universities, and for the demands of an innovation–driven world in the 21st century. This tiered structure provides the opportunity for students to achieve their personal peaks of excellence.
Candidates select subjects from two levels of study, namely H1 (Higher 1) and H2 (Higher 2). Subjects are divided into knowledge-based subjects such as General Paper (H1) and Economics (H1), and content-based subjects such as Mathematics (H2), Physics (H2), and Chemistry (H2).”
This 2-year programme is widely recognized and valued by employers, education authorities and institutions of higher education throughout the world.
The University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) is the examining authority for subjects in English. Similar to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level, the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level Examinations is also a MOE and SEAB-approved programme.
Throughout the entire duration of the course, students will undergo regular classroom assessments, term examinations conducted by the school, and the final Singapore-Cambridge GCE A’ Levels Examination (GCE A’ Levels) conducted by the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB).
