Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Hospitality Management (RQF) is a course developed by Pearson Education, UK and is offered at Shelton College International. The qualification is designed to meet the needs and expectations of students aspiring to work in an international hospitality environment. It aims to widen students’ access to higher education and enhance their career prospects. The objective of the course is to equip students with hospitality skills, knowledge and the understanding necessary to achieve high performance in the global hospitality environment and to develop them to be professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the hospitality industry and adapt to a constantly changing world.


The programme offers a content that is a balance between employability skills and the knowledge essential for students with entrepreneurial, employment or academic aspirations. It is closely aligned with employer and higher education needs and is a stimulating and challenging programme of study that will be both engaging and memorable for students. Assessments are via courseworks. After a successful completion, learner will be awarded with a Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Hospitality Management.

Language Proficiency
Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) B2 OR
IELTS 5.5 (including 5.5 for reading and writing) OR
PTE 51 OR
Shelton ELAT of   Band 2
Students from India and South Asian countries are exempted from IELTS (or its equivalent) requirement if:
the student has a diploma obtained from a recognized institution where English is the medium of instruction
A minimum English subject mark of 65% at standard XII (applicable to Indian students).


Educational Attainment
BTEC level 3 qualification in Hospitality
or related level 3 qualifications
OR SCI Certificate in Higher Education
OR SCI Certificate in Advanced Study Skills   
OR Completion of at least 12 years of formal education
GCE A Levels
Mature Candidate
Minimum 30 years old with at least 8 years of working experience
